Since 1971 – Built for real kitchens.
Pepperfire builds hot sauce gift packages for people who love food. These are assortments of our products, packaged for easy gifting. They are an introduction to a serious culinary sauce line developed from restaurant experience and rooted in chili pepper authority and food exploration.
The first Hot Sauce Gift Pack
The foundation hot sauce began commercially in 1971, when Hurricane Mash was first served on hot dogs at Acadia University. The sauce became the signature compliment to the hot dogs Greg cooked and sold from his dorm room. His dorm mate, Uwe Schaeffer, quickly discovered that the smell of grilled hot dogs lingers — so Greg paid for Uwe’s dry cleaning.
Soon Greg opened his first restaurant, where that food-first philosophy evolved into the disciplined line of cooking sauces, grilling sauces, and finishing sauces available from Peppermaster today.

Our first true hot sauce gift packages were designed for the Nova Scotia Designer Craft Council and other major gift shows across Canada. Greg took his best-selling restaurant sauces from the Appletree Landing Restaurant and bottled them for sale.
Named Constant Creation Gourmet Cuisine, the Wolfville Nova Scotia cottage industry launched with themed gift packs, like his Sauce of the Month Club and the Four Seasons’ gift pack.
By 1995 Greg decided to focus entirely on Constant Creation, with his hot sauce gift packages showcasing Ethnic Hot cooking sauces and pure hot pepper sauces, unlike anything on the Canadian market. His Specialty dessert sauces were very popular as cheesecake toppings, fruit fondues, and ice cream toppings. His Award winning Maple Cream Coulis, was a great gift to go with Ethnic sauces, because it was a perfect dessert sauce after a spicy hot meal. When We launched Peppermaster, we simply rebranded it as the Antidote.

By 1995 his hot sauce gift packs were themed packages with names like The Hottest Three, Pacific Rim Stir-Fry, Peter Piper’s Pickled Peppers, the Three Richest Dessert Sauces, the Chocoholic Deluxe Pack and the Connoisseur Desert Sauces. Even then a Mini Sampler Pack was available, and it included 12 x 65 ml jars of mixed products.
In 2003, Brooks Pepperfire Foods was incorporated and the Peppermaster brand launched — formalizing a hot sauce system built for real kitchens. Built on decades of restaurant experience, the Peppermaster line gives home cooks professional-level flavour structure with minimal preparation.
The Flagship: Peppermaster Hot Sauce Roulette
Today’s most complete introduction to the diverse hot sauce gift package is the
Hot Sauce Roulette Game.
Originally released as the Peppermaster Jewels of Fire & Ice sampler, this format copied the mini sampler concept from Constant Creation and was designed to introduce customers to the full range of Peppermaster products. It allows cooks to experience multiple flavours, marinades, glazes, reductions, and finishing sauces — all in one curated collection, which can even be hand chosen by the gifter.
As tasting culture evolved, the gift presentations became interactive. The sauces did not change. The structure remained culinary. The table experience expanded to make the food even more fun.
The Hot Sauce Roulette pack is a hot sauce gift package featuring sixteen completely different products. Sweet heat. Deep savoury dry spices. Caribbean influences. Thai profiles. Some with slow-building fire. Others with bright finishing accents. Every bottle serves a different purpose in the kitchen.
Additional Gift Collections
While Roulette is the most comprehensive gift format, Peppermaster offers several additional gift packages built around the same culinary philosophy:
Peppermaster Dynamite Crackers and Fireboxes — Our best-selling hot sauce gift packages contain a selection of three products, all with high-impact flavour. These sets are ideal for small gifts or hostess gifts. You can choose the products that go into the package.
Chilihead Treasures Firecrackers — Peppermaster’s three best-selling sauces in 45 ml sampler jars. We wrap these like Christmas Crackers to simplify your gift giving.
Chilihead Treasures Firebox — a full size collection of our three best-selling sauces for serious heat and flavour exploration. Three 250 ml bottles packed in a safe-to-mail, easy to wrap box.
Cooking. Grilling. Finishing.
Each bottle in these hot sauce gift packages has a defined role in the kitchen. Some are built for reduction and glaze, deepening dishes like our Piquante Salmon Puttanesca with savoury heat and acidity.
Others are structured for cooking applications, layering flavour into slow preparations such as Easy Curried Goat, where controlled heat supports the spices rather than overwhelming them.
And the system extends beyond savoury. A disciplined sauce line can even complement dessert — as demonstrated in our adaptation of Craig Claiborne’s Cheesecake, where contrast and balance matter as much as fire.
These are working sauces. Once opened, most require refrigeration — because they are made to be used.
Hot Sauce Authority Since 1971
From dorm-room Hurricane Mash in 1971 to incorporation in 2003, through today, Greg Brooks continues to create a food-driven line of sauces and spice blends built on the expert culinary application of chili peppers and all of the different flavours that they can enhance. This culinary skill makes Peppermaster sauces the perfect gift for any occasion.
